Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Introduction

What is your Affiliate Program and how does it work?

Our Affiliate Program rewards you for directing customers to purchase our products. When a product is purchased by a someone you refer, we reward you for the sale.

Sign up as our affiliate and get your unique link (images or text). Paste it on your site, tweets, Facebook posts, emails, book reviews or print it as QR-code. You get your share when your referrals follow the link and order. We transfer the commission directly to your PayPal account on a monthly basis.

What’s in it for me?

How do I get rewarded?

You earn 25% commission of the income from your referrals, in the first YEAR since your referral.

One of my referrals becomes an affiliate. Do I get commission on his sales too?

No!

Unfortunately we can’t do this, since it’s considered as Multi-Level Marketing (MLM), which is forbidden by law in many places worldwide. It also violates Paypal’s Terms of Service. However, we do cooperate with large organizations toward signing up new affiliates, and in that context they are rewarded. Please contact us for further discussion.

Does it cost me anything to become an affiliate?

No.

Our Affiliate Program is free to join, without any charges to you whatsoever, and there are no minimum sales requirements.

Can I promote your products on more than one website?

Yes.

You’re welcome to promote us across all platforms (not only web). The more links and banners you place online, the more referrals you’re likely motivate, thus generate higher income.

Can I promote more than one product (e.g. Hebrew/English editions)?

Yes!

The more products you promote, and the more audiences you can reach, the more referrals you’ll have and the more commission you get.

How do I take part?

How do I join your Affiliate Program?

Sign up here. It’s quick, easy and simple. You can start promoting our products right away.

Who is qualified for the Affiliate Program?

Everyone!

You may join the Program as long as you have a verified PayPal account, since we transfer all affiliate payouts via Paypal.

Is my blog or website qualified for your Affiliate Program?

Most blogs and websites qualify to participate in our Affiliate Program, but we reserve the right to refuse membership or revoke your membership at any time if we determine that your blog or website contains objectionable material, including but not limited to defamatory content, pornography or other content of an adult nature. See our Terms and Conditions for more details.

When do I receive my commissions?

Affiliate payments are processed and sent directly to your PayPal account on a monthly basis. We hold payments for a full month to allow for processing, chargebacks, etc. For example, on October 1st you would be credited for the month of August. Note, however, that the commission will be paid only when it is $50 or more. If not, it will roll onto the next month and will be paid once it reaches $50. If you request to collect your balance, even though it’s less than 50$, we shall do so of course, and your affiliate account will be terminated.

Which sales are valid for commission?

In general, all sales which originate from you will be awarded an affiliate commission. However, we reserve the right to not award certain sales at our discretion. Anyone found to be abusing the system will be terminated and/or not receive commission payments. Please consult our Terms and Conditions for more details.

I do NOT have a website/blog, can I still participate in the Affiliate Program?

Yes, of course you can!

There’s a wealth of creative ways in which you can take part. You can place links in emails and/or on social networks posts (like Facebook, Twitter, G+) and/or via your WhatsApp/Messenger groups, web forums, discussion groups (even YouTube), book reviews and much much more. You can also print it as QR-code on your print media (magazines, newspapers etc). If there’s anything we can do to assist you, just let us know.

How do I track my earnings?

Just login to your affiliate account at any time to access real-time reports and get up-to-the-minute information about the commissions you’ve earned.

How do I start?

There’s really not much to it.

Step 1: Join our Affiliate Program by signing up for an account on our website. It’s quick and simple.

Step 2: Log into your affiliate account, go to “Banners/Links” and select links, banners or other promotional materials to put on your site/posts/emails.

Step 3: Place the links/banners on your site/posts/emails.

That’s it.

Everything else is performed automatically. You can just sit back and enjoy a passive income. Successful affiliates combine various channels to get the word out. You may use social networks and messaging systems (Twitter, Facebook, Google+, WhatsApp, Messenger etc.) very effectively.

What is my affiliate link?

When you sign in as a new affiliate, you choose a unique code to identify you from now on. Basically, the link is much like any other URL, but with your affiliate code attached at its end. looks like this:

https://emu.org.il?ap_id=YourAffiliateID

Use the link in your texts/emails/posts/tweets. When people follow it and order, you get the commission.

Do I need to shorten my affiliate link?

You don’t have to!

Shortening helps when you want to use the link in messages where space is limited (like WhatsApp or SMS). Also Facebook posts look nicer when the link is shorter.

You may use any shortening service available online (like Bitly).

Note: Twitter shortens all links automatically! Learn more here: How to post links in a Tweet

QR-CODE is great for mobile. How can I use it?
Absolutely YES!
Simply put, a QR-Code is a graphical representation of a link, which when scanned leads to the link’s destination.
Use online services (like qrstuff) to convert your affiliate link, then paste the image onto your print publications.

Tax & Admin

Why do you require my exact identification to be your affiliate?

This question needs some background. Just like any legit business, we must abide taxation rules. The sum we charge the buyer is considered as our income. When we transfer the commissions to our affiliates, the payouts are considered our expenses. In order for the tax authorities to recognize them as such, we need to show that these funds were really payed, to real people. We need your legit identification, in order to be able to transfer the payouts to you. Payout funds are transferred (once a month) by Paypal only to affiliates that fulfilled their ID requirements.

Can I be your affiliate without sending you my ID?

Hmmm, yes. But will not be able to pay you. Sorry!

You can still help us promote, voluntarily, and we would be really thankful. As a voluntary affiliate you can still use our promotional stuff (links/banners etc.). If you just send us an email, telling us that you donate your payouts, we will be glad to send you an honorary thank-you letter (see also next question).

Suppose I don’t send you my ID, what happens with my commission funds?

Once a quarter we donate the funds that have not been paid due to missing IDs, to various charity organizations in Israel.

Can I be sure that my ID will not be used for anything else?

Absolutely YES,

Your personal information will be used (if at all) for the sole purpose it was intended: proving that we paid the commission funds to a real person.

Amazon

My referral visited your site, but decided to buy the printed book at Amazon. Do I still get the commission?

No.

Printed books are stored and delivered by Amazon.

When a visitor decides to buy printed books, he is directed to Amazon. We don’t know if eventually he bought or not (Amazon doesn’t provide this information). That’s why we can’t credit you any commission. We can only thank you for your effort.

Having said that, you can still earn a commission by becoming an Amazon affiliate.

My referral bought at your site some stuff, and proceeded to buy printed book(s) at Amazon. Do I still get the commission?

Yes!

You get your commission for every sale made on our site.
